it worked :) Was using ImgBurn, good quality DVD and a built in Dell writer. And voila! Create a new thread and describe your issuein detail.Make sure you include a copy of the program's log in your post. If none of the above options works, it is most likely a hardware problem and not a software problem.
And by the way, this "Image Mastering Applications Programming Interface" (IMAPI) is only needed for Windows Media Player and the "Send to - DVD Drive X:" - which is pretty much but there is no problem in burning DVD-RW.It burns RW smoothly.. All the sudden I wake up this morning and this issue is present. that was until I found your advice.
