Instead of MAX speed for recording - which I assumed the software would know was 4X - I CHOSE 4X. I've tried all of the other methods but I'm still having the calibration problem. I am running XP SP3, and I had had some major problems with SP3 crashing my computer back in July, so maybe this IMAPI problem is related to SP3? does about 5% of the burn and says "Power Calibration Error" and just stops...
