Low Quality Media At the start of each burn the drive will burn to a small section the the disc to adjust the laser power for the media being used. AGAIN SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH ! Imgburn Power Calibration Area Error Fix what i tried is leave the dvd inside the drive for about 40 minutes and then it worked!!!!! So I replaced the IDE 80pin ribbon and that did it. I've flashed the FIRMWARE to a later version (from 1.3 to 1.5) from liggy dee's firmware update page.

reply Worked! The Linux community recommended the use of Img Burn for burning the image-file. I burned one dvd after that. If the laser lens is dirty or the laser is failing, you can get that error. After backing up your important data from the system disk drive, restart your computer with the Windows XP CD disc inserted in the ODD. Btw, for those who had to turn the imapi service on for the fix - your brand of burner just happens to fall into the (M$ supported) category of brands that If all the above fails the problem is definitely related to hardware and not software, Go ahead and get your burner laser lens cleaned by a professional. I burned 5 DVDs succesfully with it set to Auto, though, very strange... have a peek at these guys I took my drive out and gave it good cleaning.
