Thanks for including that info, even though you suspected it was common knowledge...it worked! I was just about to go drop $40 on another SD card, but thanks to your advice I fixed my SD car myself!! Depending on firmware version the camera will accept only 2GB. It doesn't have to be sand, just a piece of dust can do it. Had to use tape for missing lock switch and it is working well again!
