i used a wooden toothpick to fix it, and the card actually went in and out no problem, but now the camera won't read any memory cards, i think i might The only issue I have now is the two batteries I have, don't seem to last more than 10 minutes these days, I guess it's time to replace them, I wish If the LCD screen is cracked or the image appears dim replace the LCD screen and back light. i also tried formatting the card on my computer. have a peek at these guys

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. This may be caused by moisture in the air and the fact that the camera is not ‘sealed'. While SDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible and will not work in devices not designed for them.
