its a Canon S2IS. when it wants to extend but it cant do so, i fix it by patiently pulling on the lens. It's worth a thousand words. I guess I tapped hard enough to break something inside, it looks like a small bulb that is also now white... HiI have Cannon Powershot. If I had it to do all over again, I'd skip the repair attempt and just get the new camera. Read this comment, figured I had nothing left to lose, and whacked it on the desk a few times.
