PostgreSQL Error Codes All messages emitted by the PostgreSQL server are assigned five-character error codes that follow the SQL standard's conventions for "SQLSTATE" codes. How can I solve this problem? I once messed with this for quite a while but could find no way to even construct any object that could generate a similar structure from JSON.stringify. Thus, an application that does not recognize the specific error code might still be able to infer what to do from the error class.
I get a FOR syntax error on the following code.FOR rowNum IN SELECT DISTINCT ON (vehicle_id) vehicle_id FROM normal.joined_points_speeds_orderedID LOOP EXECUTE ‘CREATE TEMP TABLE vehiclePointData_'||rowNum|| ‘AS SELECT * FROM normal.joined_points_speeds_orderedID WHERE So I am building one dynamic statement to make this work. The error codes are less likely to change across PostgreSQL releases, and also are not subject to change due to localization of error messages. Redshift Error 42601 my task is to get the error description.

Condition names can be written in either upper or lower case. (Note that PL/pgSQL does not recognize warning, as opposed to error, condition names; those are classes 00, 01, and 02.)
